Police officer: Good morning. Sergeant Tomasz Nowak. Traffic Police Department of District Police Headquarters in Legionowo. Traffic control.

Driver: Good morning.

P: Could you stop the engine and show me your documents, please?

D: Here they are: my passport, driving licence, registration certificate and insurance policy.

P: Your documents are OK. Now, switch on position lights, passing lights, long lights and direction indicators, please (…). Switch on stop lights and reversing lights. Unfortunately your left rear direction indicator isn’t working. Probably the bulb is broken. Have you got the spare one to replace it?

D: Yes, of course. I will do it immediately (...). Here we go. The indicator is working now. You can have a look.

P: All right. Your lights are in order. You may continue your journey. I hope you will have a nice stay in Poland.

D: Thank you offi cer. Goodbye.
